1. Who we are
This site and the services on it are operated by YEMYEL (OPC) Pvt Ltd (trading as MLGround), a One Person Company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 with its registered office at 3rd Floor, HM Towers, 58 Brigade Road, Bangalore 560001, Karnataka, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "MLGround" refer to YEMYEL (OPC) Pvt Ltd.

2. Scope
This policy covers the marketing site at mlground.com, our HR portal at people.mlground.com, and any product we host unless that product has its own published privacy policy linked from the product itself.
3. What we collect
- Contact information you give us - name, work email, phone number, company name - when you fill the contact form, book a call, or apply to a role.
- Application information - resume, identity documents, screening responses, signed offer letters and NDAs - when you go through our hiring or onboarding flow.
- Usage data - IP address, browser, timestamps, referrer, pages viewed - collected automatically by our web server and stored for a short retention window.
- Cookies - we use a small number of first-party cookies strictly necessary to run the site and to remember your session if you log into a product.
We do not use third-party advertising networks. We do not sell or trade your personal data.
4. Why we collect it (legal basis)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent - for marketing communications, contact form submissions, and storing cookies that aren't strictly necessary.
- Performance of a contract - when you become a client, employee, contractor or candidate.
- Legitimate interests - to operate the website securely and to keep an audit trail of signed documents.
- Legal obligation - to comply with Indian tax, labour, and corporate-record-keeping requirements.
5. How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and to send you a project proposal.
- To evaluate your application, conduct interviews, generate offer letters and NDAs, and pay you if you join.
- To provide and improve the products you use (analytics on aggregated, de-identified usage only).
- To detect, prevent and investigate security incidents and abuse.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with vetted Data Processors who help us run the business. As of this version:
- Resend (transactional email delivery, Delaware, USA)
- DigitalOcean (cloud hosting in BLR1 region, India)
- Microsoft (Teams meetings, OneDrive, Outlook)
- Cal.com (scheduling, EU)
- Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, bot protection)
Each is contractually bound to use your data only for the services we ask of them. We disclose data to law enforcement or regulators only when legally required.
7. Cross-border transfers
Some of the processors above store or process data outside India. We rely on the recipient's certifications and the DPDP Act's approved country mechanism where applicable. If you would prefer your data to remain only in India, write to us - we can usually accommodate.
8. How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions - 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Candidate records (rejected) - 12 months from rejection.
- Employee records - 8 years after exit (tax & labour law).
- Signed legal documents (NDA, offer) - life of the contract + 7 years.
- Web server access logs - 30 days, then rotated.
9. How we protect it
We use HTTPS everywhere, full-disk encryption on hosts, role-based access controls, SHA-256 audit hashes on signed documents, and least-privilege secrets. Access to production databases is restricted to two named admins and is logged.
10. Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold on you.
- Have inaccurate or outdated data corrected.
- Have your data erased, where lawful.
- Withdraw any consent you previously gave.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you become unable to.
- Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (see below) and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
We respond to all rights requests within 30 days. There is no fee.

12. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly process their data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the version and effective date at the top. Material changes will also be emailed to active customers and employees.
